About the Conference

About the Conference

Worship takes on many forms such as personal devotions and corporate worship during church services.  But our reverence of God transcends beyond the traditional acts of worship such as singing, lifting of hands and playing of instruments commonly experienced in our churches.

"Designed to Worship" is a conference that reminds the believer of his or her purpose for living – "to honour God with [his/her] substance" (Proverbs 3:9).  This is not just a conference targeted at praise and worship leaders, praise teams and musicians.  This is not a conference for any particular church organization or denomination.  This is a conference for the body of Christ!

In Ephesians 2, Paul reminds the Gentiles in Ephesus about their past lifestyle of sin and that their salvation is received through their faith in Jesus Christ.  He then says, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them".  In other words, before we were even conceived, God had a plan that our lives should produce "good works" which bring honour to Him.

Through general keynote sessions, conference attendees will be instructed on living a life that fulfills the purpose God intended.  Through workshop sessions, conference attendees will engage in several topics relevant to our churches today.  Musicians, worship leaders, worship team members, sound and video technicians and other worship ministries will receive practical instruction for training and further development of their ministries through ministry-specific workshops.

A central theme of the conference is unifying the body of Christ through worship.  Paul, still addressing the Gentiles, says, "For through Him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.  Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens with the saints, and of the household of God." (Ephesians 2:18-19)  It is clear that through one Spirit, there remains no separation or segregation in the body of Christ, but believers of all races and cultural backgrounds can come together in one setting to offer worship to our great King.
