Was your breakfast, snack, lunch, dinner, and a late night munch good yesterday, and today? Well as many of you may not know how many school aged children/youth and their families are challenged with food insecurity, and having the needed resources to become achieve academic success.
Each year FBCOG-The Collaborative& Partners host an annual "Community Partners Expo" on Saturday August 22,2015 from 10:00 am- 12:30 pm. This event provides patrons with nutritious food resources through our open style Family Market/Pantry. This is inclusive of providing backpacks filled with school supplies, uniforms, clothing, shoes, personal care and household items. Along, with many supportive local and state community partners onsite to provided services and promote awareness of available services, i.e.: Immunizations, Foreclosure and Housing Assistance, Nutrition Education, SNAP, Mom & Baby Care, Dental and Vision Services, Free Mammogram information, Family service Aides/Supports, and many other valuable service's and information.
We ask you to support by giving a gift card, monetarily, or by sending items to our site office. Please, note the following instructions, and see the attached flyer to circulate through networks. We thank you in advance for your support to aid the growing number of school-age children, and their families whom are challenged with food insecurity. Your generous donation is a great support to many.
Request: Please donate backpacks with school supplies, new uniforms (all colors polo shirts, khaki pants, (skorts, and jumpers for ES children), personal care and household goods, children's/youth clothing ages 5-18, canned goods, perishable and nonperishable items. Gift cards and monetary donations are accepted.
