Camp Fit Community Health Fair
Camp Fit partners with Prince George’s County Public schools to give the gift of health and wellness to the community.
The Camp Fit Community Health Fair sponsored by Sistas United Inc. (www.Sistasunited.net) and Phiers.org (www.Phiers.org) is taking place on Saturday November 15th 11-2 pm inside at Longfields Elementary School 3300 Newkirk Ave, Forestville, MD.
The health fair will consist of free health screenings, fitness demonstrations, healthy snacks and smoothies, free fresh produce for the community, kids activities, various vendors and live entertainment.
Camp Fit is a Prince George’s County based youth health& wellness program sponsored by World Wide Community, Inc. (www.Worldwidecommunity.us) is a national reality television show that airs every Saturday at 11 am on DirecTV channel 378 (NRB Network). Camp Fit can also be seen anytime online at www.Campfit.tv.
The purpose of the Camp Fit program is to implement innovative ideas that encourages holistic healthy living for the younger generation. Through fitness training, life skills development, and academic empowerment Camp Fit helps to close the gap and prepare our children for physical and mental success.
The Community Health Fair was established to educate and provide resources to those who need it most. Camp Fit partner Sistas United Inc. is no stranger to providing for those in need. Delivering a variety of services from Ex Offender re-entry programs, mentoring, food pantry, community café and a host of other free benefits. Through the Camp Fit health fairs these opportunities as well as several others will be presented and available to the community at large.
