On Sunday, June 11th, from 3pm-6pm at the Showplace Arena, 14900 Pennsylvania Avenue, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772, a week before Father’s Day, Council Member Mel Franklin is calling on fathers and father-figures in Prince George’s County to come together for the “1000 Fathers Rally for Peace in Prince George’s County.” He wants everyone to act now to address our rising public safety and crime challenges, especially among our youth. This event’s purpose is to place a renewed emphasis on strengthening fatherhood in Prince George’s County in order to improve outcomes for our families. This rally will feature resources like job placement, expungement & legal assistance, physical & mental health services, small business support, social & family services, and much more. You'll also hear from an exciting and motivational array of speakers and entertainers. This is a free event!

Are you an organization, nonprofit, or business willing to provide free services to residents attending the 1000 Fathers Rally for Peace on June 11th? We especially are looking for additional providers that provide free legal counseling (esp. family law, child support, or expungement), physical & mental health services, small business and nonprofit support, financial literacy, and homeownership counseling. BECOME A SMALL BUSINESS OR NONPROFIT EXHIBITOR AT THE 1000 FATHERS RALLY
The 1000 Father's Rally will also feature a small business and nonprofit exhibitor section where small businesses and nonprofits located in Prince George's County can have an exhibitor's table to share information with attendees about their business or nonprofit. Businesses and nonprofits cannot sell products or services live at the event, but they can collect customer information for future follow-up and provide information about their business or nonprofit.
