Pastor Jay Cameron and the men of The Life Center invite young men between the ages of 12 - 18 to join them for a special event!
On June 7, 2013 (7:30pm) until June 8, 2013 (7:30am), one hundred young men between the ages of 12 - 18 will have an experience they will remember for a lifetime. This unprecedented event will plant seeds of wisdom and hope that can last a lifetime. We are hosting an all-night lock-in for boys facilitated by men who love God. These men will share their journey through the teens years into manhood. They will share the successes, the failures and what it takes to be a man.
Teen boys are faced with a host of challenges. Many are fatherless. Many are neglected and abused. Many are angry and bitter. Many feel rejected and just want acceptance. Many use drugs and are sexually active. Many are "Straight A" students and excelling but still need support. Many are positive and doing well. Many are God-loving and God-honoring young men. I share these different examples because teen boys are faced with a host of challenges no matter how well they perform or appear.
Becoming a man is not an easy transition. There are cultural, spiritual and emotional pressures designed to distract and destroy a young man's God-ordained purpose. Our goal with this lock-in is to make these boys aware of the many distractions life throws at them and to offer solutions and strategies for avoiding them.

AN INVESTMENT IN THE FUTURE AND BEYOND
When we invest our time and financial resources into our youth, we are making an investment in the future. In our culture, young men are oftentimes neglected and overlooked. We are reaching out to the community to help make this event an ongoing event. Your financial support can help to make this initial investment event into the lives of these young men consistent.
