Sheila Stewart is an award winning media conglomerate whose career as a Radio, TV and Print Media Personality spans over 20 years. She was the Director of News Programming for Radio One-DC Stations (93.9) WKYS-FM; (102.3) WMMJ-FM; (104.1) WPRS-FM; (1450) WOL-AM; WYCB-AM and the Syndicated Russ Parr Morning Show heard in (40) U-S cities. A native of Great Falls, SC, Stewart received a BA Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Benedict College. She has worked as a Reporter / Anchor for CBS Affiliate WBTV News 3; Guest Appearances on TV Networks NBC, ABC, Fox News; News Director for CBS Radio WPEG-FM Charlotte, NC, Correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks; ABC Radio New Networks; and as a News Anchor for Syndication One Radio News Networks; The Rev. Al Sharpton Show; The Dr. Michael Eric Dyson Show and The Warren Ballentine Show. Stewart has also worked as an adjunct Professor at Johnson C. Smith University and an Instructor at The Chatty School of Communications. Many of her students are currently working in broadcast media all over the country. Stewart is also an accomplished writer and author. She wrote and published her first book "Faith and The 3 P's Overcoming Obstacles With Prayer, Persistence and Positive Thinking that received enthusiastic response and book signings. In 1999, Stewart birthed the Sheila Stewart Education Foundation, a diverse, non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to graduating high school students who are continuing their education at a 4-year college or university. She has awarded over $80,000 in scholarships to deserving students across the U.S.In support of the scholarship fund, Stewart created & produced a series of Talent and Step Show competitions that drew crowds of over 40,000 plus. A proud member of the prestigious Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., She had mentored teens and is one of the most sought after motivational speakers at schools, churches and groups in the DC Metropolitan areas as well as nationwide. Sheila had loved to spend time with her family, reading, working out, watching documentaries and was an avid poetry writer.
