"If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth."
Today's verse is a wake-up call to examine the alignment between our words and our actions. If we say we are followers of Christ, our actions must reflect the light of His truth. Walking in the darkness while claiming fellowship with God is like trying to mix oil and water; they just don't blend.
Our walk with God is about living in the light - being honest, kind, forgiving, and loving. It's about letting His teachings guide our actions. When we live in the light, we create a harmony between what we say and what we do, and in this harmony, we find genuine connection with God.
