Many of us have faced and persevered through challenges in life, against all odds. And God has a purpose for every situation and sorrow we experience.
Faith in God means you trust Him for everything, even when it's difficult sometimes.
For when God created you, He chose where you would be born, who you would be, and what His purpose for your life would be.
A good example in the Bible is the story of Joseph. He was abused and rejected by his brothers, which caused him to suffer slavery and prison. But it all served God's higher purpose. And God showed Joseph repeated favor through all he endured.
Therefore, when the king of Egypt was troubled by his dreams, the chief cupbearer recalled Joseph's request to remember him. He then mentioned him to the king and Joseph went from prison to palace to prime minister; thus, successfully navigating through a series of crises.
Years later Joseph told his brothers, "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good..." (Genesis 50:20). Two words in this verse reveal what matters most in any situation we face: "but God." Therefore, like Joseph, we should view the sufferings of life and ministry through the lens of God allowing them in our journey to accomplish His purpose for our lives.
So, press on by faith!
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
