Trust In God: Proverbs 6:5-6 KJV
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Today’s passage of scripture is well-known and often quoted; the question now becomes, what is it really saying to me?
These verses encourage everyone to rely completely on God, as He is faithful and has proven Himself trustworthy. Therefore, He deserves our complete trust as He keeps all of His promises to provide for all our needs, and His presence is always near us.
These verses also say we are to trust God with our total being, considering the fact that we are created in His image and likeness, and know us before we know ourselves.
Being that God is all-knowing, who knows the way, then why not trust Him with our whole hearts and acknowledge Him for who He is, the One true Sovereign God.
Lastly, we trust God because His knowledge far exceeds man’s knowledge and understanding of all things.
