But why study African American worship when we are all humans who worship God? Black Catholic Scholar Cyprian Lamar Rowe would answer, “..true cooperation requires us to cease regarding diversity as a hinderance to unity….we must begin to appreciate differences and regard them as a mark of God’s infinite creativity.”
