2. Roy W. Dean Grants and Carole Dorothy Joyce Grant
Now entering its fourth decade, the Roy W. Dean Grants fund independent feature films, documentaries, web series, and short films with budgets of $500,000 or less that are unique and make a contribution to society that, without its help, might otherwise never get made.
There are four Roy W. Dean Film Grants available each year. Three are for documentaries, narrative features, web series, and short films. One for Spring, Summer, and Fall. In addition, the Roy W. The new Carole Dorothy Joyce Grant for Student Filmmakers is now accepting submissions. Films should be budgeted at under $50,000 and need to be unique and make a contribution to society. 4. Short Scripts Grant Opportunities - Our Short Film Fund offers an opportunity for emerging screenwriters and filmmakers to have their short films financed and produced, and create a calling card to help them progress in the industry as a writer or writer/director. We will finance and produce two short films in 2023. Previous winners of our Short Film Fund have gone on to write and direct for Netflix, Amazon Prime, BBC, AMC, NBC, HULU, and others. State of New Jersey Department of State Grant Opportunities - General Operating Support (GOS) grants provide annual support for the overall operations of organizations with missions exclusively devoted to the arts and which meet the Council’s eligibility criteria. GOS grants are typically awarded with a three-year commitment, subject to contract stipulations, and available funds which are contingent upon, in part, the passage of the state budget for the grant cycle. 13. The SFFILM Rainin Grant program is the largest granting body for independent narrative feature films in the US.
