APPLICATIONS OPEN THROUGH OCTOBER 25TH FOR THE COUNCIL’S ANNUAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE GRANT OPPORTUNITY
October is Domestic Violence Month. Local nonprofits in Prince George’s County working to address the needs of County residents who are survivors of domestic violence, can APPLY ONLINE now through October 25th, for FY 23 County Council Domestic Violence Program grants. Domestic Violence Grant Program
The Prince George’s County Council, committed to ending domestic violence and abuse in the County. The grant program, is a funding resource for programs that serve the Housing, Mental Health/Counseling, or Advocacy/Legal Services for County residents who are survivors of domestic violence. The program also supports workforce development activities through a coordinated and collaborative community response to domestic violence in Prince George’s County.
Prince George’s County Council Domestic Violence Grant Program funds are available to nonprofit organizations through a review and evaluation process for all applicants.

Purpose
The purpose of the Domestic Violence Grant Program is to make available crisis and support services and meet the needs of victims of domestic violence and their families.
The service categories are:
Housing
Availability/accessibility of safe housing for survivors of domestic violence
Workforce Development
Focus on helping individuals grow and develop their skills in preventing family violence, domestic violence and dating violence.
Counseling/Mental Health Services
Availability/accessibility of domestic violence counseling and mental health services for survivors, children and abusers
Advocacy/Legal Services
Availability/accessibility to domestic violence victim advocates including legal assistance
