New Funding Announcement

Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program (BSCI)
GOCPP is now accepting applications for the State Fiscal Year 2027 Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program (BSCI) - Crisis Outreach & Response through Engagement (CORE) Grant Program.

THE GRANT'S PURPOSE
The primary purpose of BSCI funding is to reduce firearm-related harm through crisis intervention, behavioral health, and public safety strategies that identify and support individuals at elevated risk of harming themselves or others, including but not limited to State crisis court proceedings and Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs).
 
The Maryland Byrne Advisory Board (Board) has identified four targeted priority areas for this funding opportunity:
  • Behavioral Health Crisis Response & Intervention Systems  
  • Court-based Behavioral Health & Crisis Intervention Programs
  • Local System Coordination & Implementation of Crisis Intervention Strategies
  • Targeted ERPO Implementation Support  
 
WHO CAN APPLY
The following entities are eligible to apply: non-profit organizations, State government agencies, and local government agencies.

Grantees may seek up to $200,000 in funding for their projects.
