Scholarships with Academic Requirements
Marjorie D. Buynak Scholarship (4 at up to $5,000; valued at up to $20,000) for high school seniors who are Arlington residents with at least a 3.0 GPA to attend an accredited postsecondary institution. FN/R
Charles M. and Elizabeth S. Munnecke Scholarship (4 at up to $5,000; valued up to $20,000) for high school seniors who are Arlington residents, who have attended an Arlington Public High School during their junior and senior years, to attend an accredited postsecondary institution. FN/R
Arlington’s Future Scholarship (2 at $2,000; valued at up to $8,000) for APS high school seniors who currently reside in committed affordable housing, as defined by the Arlington County Housing Division, to attend an accredited postsecondary institution. Preference will be given to students with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. FN/R
Arlington Women’s Civic Alliance Scholarship (2 at $2,000; valued at up to $8,000) for a woman who is a resident of Arlington or who is a graduate of APS, to attend NOVA. Can be renewed up to three times at either NOVA or a 4-year school. Requires a minimum GPA of 3.0. R
Community Scholarship ($1,500 each) for previous recipients of ACF Scholarships, who remain in good academic standing at their undergraduate accredited postsecondary institutions and other scholarships for high school seniors as annually determined. FN
Frank K. Wilson Scholarship (1 at $1,000) for an APS high school senior who has had an Individualized Education Plan and plans to attend an accredited postsecondary institution. FN
Warren G. Stambaugh Memorial Foundation Scholarship (1 at $2,000; valued at up to $8,000) for an APS high school senior who has had an Individualized Education Plan and plans to attend an accredited postsecondary institution. R
Tony Young Memorial Scholarship (1 at $2,500; valued at up to $10,000) for an APS high school graduate, or an Arlington resident with high school equivalent degree (ex: GED). To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must have a physical, cognitive or sensory disability. FN/R
Gail Nuckols Memorial Scholarship (1 at $1,000) for an Arlington public high school senior who has a B average and plans to attend a 4 year college or university. FN
Kar F. Gong Memorial Scholarship (1 at $2,000; valued at up to $8,000) for an Arlington senior on free or reduced lunch (prior to COVID-19) or who currently resides in committed affordable housing, as defined by the Arlington County Housing division. FN/R
Jackisch Scholarship (1 at $1,500; valued at up to $6,000) for an APS senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher. FN/R
Van Riswick Family Scholarship (1 at $1,500) for an Arlington resident who is an APS high school graduate (attended an APS high school during their junior and senior years), or for an Arlington resident with high school equivalent degree (ex: GED), to attend an accredited postsecondary institution. FN
University of Management and Technology Scholarship (3 at $2,000; valued at up to $6,000) for Arlington students with at least a 3.0 GPA. Awards can be made to applicants who are returning to school or enrolling for the first time as an adult. Renewable for only two additional years. Students can reapply for extensions beyond the 3-year term of the award. R
Wilkerson Family Scholarship (3 at $2,000; valued at $8,000) is for a deserving Arlington high school student. FN/R
Bharati and Lincoln Jain Scholarship is for a renewing student entering their 4th year who needs the funds to persist and finish their degree. Preference for a student studying medicine, business, or engineering. FN
Shay Family Scholarship (up to $4,000) for a new or renewing student to attend an accredited postsecondary institution. FN
