Corruption is the root cause of poverty in our modern world. If the church begin to stand up against corruption it can help reduce poverty globally. I don't think the current church is fair to the poor - the global church is actively involve in the politics of this world. Righteousness is far more than act of generousity towards to those in need - righteousness is also an act of justice. Providing foods and clothes to those in need is not sufficient. The church must go beyond aid projects and begin to stand up against corruption in governments and in societties. Christ came to let the oppressed go free.
