 Up until the 1960’s, the church openly taught its values. The members then lived out those values in their daily lives and shared those values in discussions and elected public officials that shared those values. Teachers, broadcasters,  and others openly taught them through their work. As a result, many who had no church connection openly embraced Christian values. However, since then, the church has not actively taught its values and has allowed the world to dominate the discussion with its values so that many in church today hold the world’s values rather than Christian values. Many Christians today are often unable to defend their Christian values when confronted with the world's values on the media and in person. As a pastor and Social Worker, I deal with many people who are confused as to what the Bible teaches because their pastors do not clarify them.
