On Wednesday, June 18, 2014, family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of our Christian sister Shelia Stewart who lived a vibrant and productive Christian life. She fulfilled her ministry of sharing inspiring messages through various media streams and community service events. For the first time in history, we will also be celebrating the first “Maryland Proclamation” for a Media Day in honor of Ms. Sheila Stewart. We are currently in the process of having a “Proclamation” for a Media Day established for the states of Virginia, District of Columbia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia on behalf of Sheila Stewart.

Sunday, June 15, 2014 First Baptist Church of Glenarden FREE FATHER’S DAY CONCERT! Dads are in for a spiritual treat and bountiful blessing when Tasha Cobbs and Bishop William Murphy minister in song at the Worship Center! Fathers, sons, brothers, uncles, nephews, play-cousins, friends, mentors … all are welcome and encouraged to attend!

THURSDAY EVENING:

We will kickoff with a time of multi-media manly worship and our main speaker Dr. Rick Rigsby.

     6:00pm - doors open/snack/fellowship

     7:15pm - main session starts

     9:00pm - main session ends

FRIDAY EVENING:

Starts with power worship with Todd Dulaney, music from Skip Pruitt and main speaker Dr. Rick Rigsby.

SATURDAY MORNING:

We start with a Continental Breakfast then we will have two main sessions. Then we'll have a Man-Sized Lunch brought in!

The American Bible Challenge is a fun, spirited game show that celebrates the Bible, its teachings, relevance and place in American culture.



In the first two seasons, teams of Bible enthusiasts from all across the country competed in a variety of challenges putting their knowledge of the Good Book to the test in humorous, inspiring and educational ways.
