- Description: Communion - Why we come to the table for Communion....* We observe Communion because the Lord told us to.1 Corinthians 11:24And when He had given thanks. He broke it & said, "Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you, do this in remembrance of Me. "We remember Christ and all that He has done for us in His life, death & resurrection.1 Corinthians 11:24"But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. "As a statement of faith, we proclaim His death until He comes.1 Corinthians 11:26for as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes.We show our participation in the body of Christ.1 Corinthians 10:16-17The cup of blessing which we bless, it is not the communion of the blood of Christ?
