We come together by the thousands to "Give Tribute to Our Creator" and to allow His Spirit to birth many as "new Creations" in Jesus Christ who will love and serve Him. (Colossians 1:15-18)

Fairbanks, AK – Get set for a new experience when it comes to Gospel music, as “Together We Stand” presents the Alaskan Project 2011.  Slated to take place near the heart of Fairbanks, Alaska, Gospel music lovers will be coming together for an extraordinary workshop experience with one of the top Gospel Music writers in the country, V. Michael McKay.

Learn about some of the in’s and out’s of writing a good song, the power of lyrics and what it takes to put it all together.  Understand the importance of pitch, how to take care of your voice, and the power of united voices in perfect harmony.

When the Child cries is an electrifying and spiritual account of a woman and her child and their struggle to survive in a city that is too large and too cruel for a naive young woman who came from a protective environment in North Carolina.

In five acts, When the Child Cries spotlights the mother, her daughter, her uncle and her male friend with directness and heart shattering realness.

The play moves delicately through many emotional settings. The mother’s struggle to keep her sanity and one step ahead of the destruction of her and her daughters dreams of one day becoming somebody and of being relevant in society. The elderly uncle and his battle for respect, and the male friend of the mother and his determination to be independent.

When the Child Cries is a statement of social struggle and the determination to keep pushing forward, a statement to not loose sight of one’s dreams, and to hold tight to pride and dignity as sources of strength to motivate one to continue to move forward

This talent show will give youth as well as adults an opportunity to show the community their talents as well as help raise donations for families who are seeking Bone Marrow Transplants to help with their fight against Leukemia. We will be donating a portion of the proceeds collected from the ticket sales to DKMS America. DKMS America is the worlds largest bone marrow center. Because this is such a need, we will start off this year with a Donor Drive at Potomac Mills Mall that will allow persons interested to come out and get swabbed for donor match identification on March 5, 2011 from 10am-5pm.
