Each year thousands people inclusive of fans, industry professionals, artists and production personnel come together to be a part of this spectacular production. Gospel Superfest USA is recorded live for later distribution on multiple TV and cable networks. Noted for its extraordinary production quality, Gospel Superfest has been heralded as the leading independently produced urban gospel TV shows in the gospel field today. "God's music deserves just as much attention to detail and precision recording as any other style of music. At Gospel Superfest we attempt to bring out the artistic attributes of the music and performance while keeping the message of faith, hope and inspiration, available to TV programmers and audiences", states the show's founder and Executive Producer, Dr. Bobby Cartwright, Jr.
The event is held annually, however in commemoration of the fifteenth year in the biz a winter event (Memphis) and a summer event (Cincinnati) are planned. Gospel Superfest became The Allstate Gospel Superfest in the year 2008. The Allstate Gospel Superfest TV specials are broadcast throughout the calendar year on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, MYTV, CW and independent television stations throughout the United States. Since the year 2000 Unity Media Limited has produced fourteen successful Gospel Superfest live recording events, released over fifty one-hour syndicated TV specials in domestic syndication and over two hundred TV episodes of its one-half hour program 'Back Stage Pass" for national cable networks (TBN, UP and Bounce). A feat unparralleled in the gospel music TV entertainment industry.
The programs have also aired on TBN (the world's largest Christian network for nine consecutive years making Gospel Superfest the most widely distributed black gospel music TV property in the history of US domestic television!
