Steve-O is a nominated Rhythm & Praise Young Artist of the Year, recording as an independent artist. His latest release “True Praiser” a single from his sophomore project “Changes” releases spring 2012 and features producing artist J. Robinson.
Steve-O serves the Urban Christian Community as a TV/Event Host and DJ for “98.7 The Beat” an FM Station where the Rickey Smiley Morning Show is simulcast every morning and he has been blessed to have his very own radio show called “Steve-O’s Holy Hip Hop Show” based in Charleston, WV.
Steve-O has performed at the Dove Awards pre-show “Urban Soul Café”, was covered by his local news station WCHS News for his radio show accomplishments and being such a positive rising teen in the music industry. In addition to Steve-O’s accomplishments he is also an 18-year-old musician playing the piano and drum set for local churches and formerly for the choir “Generation Yes of Beech St Records. Steve-O is making his mark in the industry with his passion to minister to the masses with an urban approach to his ministry. Steve-O's versatile ministry will leave you breathless with his honest style and real talk concerning issues facing young Christians. As a national recording artist he understands the responsibility to serve God first and continue to show the goodness of the Lord at all times.
As a kid growing up Steve-O has always had a passion for music. When he was in elementary school he recorded a full soundtrack as the main vocalist along with other students for a school play called "The Jason Mcdaniel Play" young Steve-O worked with producers Mark Scarpelli and Dan Khede arranging the music for the play. As he grew up and became older he decided he wanted to keep doing music so he began recording his own music at age 10.
At age 15 Steve-O wanted to do music more seriously, so he started working on positive R&B music that he was planning to release independently, until a great friend of his told him to read a scripture that said: "What Good Is It For A Man To Gain The Whole World And Lose His Own Soul". After that Steve-O discussed it over with his mother and decided that he was going to do what he loved and do it for Christ. At age 16 Steve-O began working on his debut album "Life Of The Abundance."
Steve-O released his first cd project on June 18th, 2010 as a 17 year old. He has shared the stage with some of the best in Gospel Music from national recording artist Tye Tribbett, Generation Yes Choir, Wess Morgan, Pure Star Movement, J.R., Jor’dan Armstrong, P-Dub, and many more. He's also a former member, (vocalist and musician) for 2010's How Sweet The Sound Competition’s Top 50 Choir "Generation Yes" (GY) where he was also a vocalist and drummer on there single "Jehovah Jireh".
Steve-O, an independent artist, doing major things by and for Christ is on a quest to extend his reach from state to state and internationally. Along with his manager and mother Freda Thomas, Steve-O will be releasing his second independent project "Changes" in the spring of 2012.
