Details:“Know Your Rights Conference for Men and Boys”will feature some of the DMV’s most respected community leaders, activists, and guest speakers, such as, Harry Thomas, Former Councilmen Ward 5, Elwood “Yango” Sawyer, Community Activist, Mike Tucker, Founder of Daddy’s Cool and Dr. John McCoy,President, of Washington Baptist Seminary. The community will hear from men both victims & abusers of domestic violence, youth panel, community relations panel, and spiritual leaders. The event will include performers, light refreshments, and local vendors & resources for men in order to help create a comfortable environment for men and boys to address their concerns. Free for the community, women and girls are welcome.
